Abstract
The University of Oxford is forging links with industry. In the context of some £29m secured for research, and key contractual issues, attention is drawn to significant aspects of an agreement with E.R. Squibb and the development of new initiatives. These include the establishment of a university company to commercialize the results of research, and the university becoming a major shareholder in another company set up to market the results of a research programme.
