Abstract
During the decade of the 1980s, students with learning disabilities (LD) have been accessing postsecondary education in increasing numbers. Problems have occurred in that neither support service staff nor students have been prepared for adequate service delivery. Project TAPE was a 2-year federal demonstration grant to provide technical assistance to personnel serving students with LD on a statewide basis. The project not only provided training for support service personnel, but established a system of state and area networks to assess and implement technical assistance needs in the future. Development, implementation, and evaluation of the project are discussed.
