Abstract
Since the 1970s, college programs for the learning disabled have increased dramatically. This new accessibility for the learning disabled in higher education has also created major problems related to program development, LD student psychosocial growth, parent adjustment, and LD transitional needs. This paper will both explain these problems and suggest service delivery methods to ameliorate them. Finally, a new federally funded OSERS-MA program for counselor/LD specialists designed to address these problems will be described.
