In our exploration of the theme of dealing with the past, we must pause and ask ourselves hard questions. Why do we feel compelled to deal with the past? What do we hope to achieve at the end of the day? An appeasement of our embittered history? What would constitute such an appeasement? The truth? Whose truth? Truth about what?1
