Abstract
Celebrating twenty years of the association, and fifteen years of Yale's Program on Non-Profit Organizations, the ARNOVA meetings in New Haven provided an opportunity for assessing the work of the research community concerned with nonprofit organizations and voluntary action. The symposium recorded on the following pages addressed the question of what, if any, usable knowledge had been produced by the research community.
