Abstract
Malocclusion in the dog was corrected through the use of several orthodontic techniques. The anchorage system used was interdental wiring as the main method used to direct anterior teeth distal to correct a prognathic malocclusion. The techniques used are an alternative treatment system for veterinary orthodontics but not as ideal as the use of direct bond brackets and buttons or labial and lingual arch wires. This paper is important in showing a viable technique that can be an alternative in veterinary orthodontics. Correction of malocclusions that are genetic in origin must be carefully screened as these disorders are being presented to veterinarians with increasing frequency.
