In the above article, the following changes should have appeared:

The second author’s name incorrectly read, “William D. Dow.” His name should have read “William H. Dow.”

In the page heading on pp. 749, 751, 753, 755, 757, 763, 765, 767, 769, and 771, the lead author’s last name should have appeared as “Gersten.”

On page 767, the Brenes-Camacho (2008, April) reference should have been modified to read:

Brenes-Camacho, G. (2008, April 17-19). Using geographical distance among family members from the electoral list as a measure of the intensity of social networks of the elderly in Costa Rica. In the abstract on page 748, the comma should have been removed from the sentence in the “Discussion” section.

In the notes section of Tables 1 and 4 on pages 757 and 761, respectively, the word “years” should not have appeared after “ages 60 to 109.”

In the notes section of Tables 3 and 4 on pages 759 and 761, respectively, the second sentence should have read:

“The regression coefficients are unstandardized and standard errors are inside the parentheses.”
