Theophylline Injuries Resulting in Litigation

Abstract

Lawsuits emanating from theophylline are discussed, describing the mechanism and types of toxicity, manufacturer's liability, necessity for recognition of theophylline toxicity and place in therapy of asthma, and need for blood level monitoring to assure safe and effective levels when needed.
