The saga of managed care pharmacy and its impact on pharmacy practice patterns is still ongoing, even with renewed vigor. There is significant recognition in the marketplace for the development of a managed care pharmacy specialty. Growth of a divergent practice pattern can be somewhat stilted because currently there is not a formal training ground or any other resource. Presented herein is just one path to acquiring experience.
