Abstract
The provision of cognitive services, including drug information, is an extremely important function of the nuclear pharmacist. As pharmacy continues to evolve as an information-oriented, knowledge-based profession, nuclear pharmacists must maintain an active role in the dissemination of information related to the use of radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs associated with the broad area of radiology. Several examples are given to illustrate how nuclear pharmacists serve as clinical consultants and, in doing so, provide expertise in drug information.
