This paper uses a case study approach to examine and evaluate a tenant social movement as a possible form of class movement. This tenants' movement is the result of redevelopment, understood as the movement of capital into the central city and the commensurate removal of working-class housing. The general goal of this paper is to provide a structural (political-economic) grounding for the explanation of tenant social movements.
