This study was undertaken to critically examine the value of the curled Tenckhoff catheter for continuous ambulatory peritineal dialysis (CAPD) access with respect to the incidence of catheter-related complications. In the setting of a prospective, randomised, double-blind comparison, we were unable to demonstrate any advantage of the curled Tenckhoff catheter over the conventional straight type.
