We monitored the ocular status of 12 insulin-dependent diabetics on CAPD for up to 42 months. In 16 eyes of eight patients followed for six months or longer, the visual acuity remained unchanged in 13, while in three eyes, the visual acuity deteriorated. Factors influencing our observations are discussed.
