Dr. Moffa's suggestion of removing internal surface flaws in porcelain restorations is discussed in terms of ceramic fatigue mechanisms. His suggestions for development of a universal shade of porcelain are discussed. Dr. Moffa suggests that better clinical studies are needed for determining effectiveness of porcelain restorations.
