Abstract
The purpose of this study of national reading policy during the 1990s was to determine the organizations composing the national reading policy network and to assess their perceived influence among interest groups and policy makers. Results revealed that the national reading policy network is composed of a large number of diverse and active organizations. In addition, there is a strong correlation between the perceptions of policy makers and interest groups with regard to these organizations' influence on national reading policy.
