Abstract
Using Computers in Qualitative Research provides a comprehensive review of new computer programs for managing and analyzing textual data, ranging from interview transcripts and field notes to ethnographic records. The i articles collected in this book offer useful background and critical information for novices as well as the experienced researchers who are interested in using software applications in analyzing qualitative data. The book challenges social scientists to pursue and expand upon the creative use of computer-based techniques in teaching research methods as well as in qualitative research.
