Abstract
AMERICAN POLITICS SHOWCASE is one in a line of ecological and cross-cultural presentation software packages designed to facilitate the demonstration of social science concepts in the classroom. The American politics dataset is made up of 272 variables, which include race and ethnicity, religion, stratification, gender, and education in the 50 United States. It contains data on the popular and electoral college votes for all presidential elections from 1920 to 1984. Detailed analysis of specific elections is possible through historical subsets for the 1920s, 1940s, and 1960s.
