Abstract
ABACAXI is an interactive simulation program designed for social science courses—economics, political science, history, geography, and global studies. The simulation calls for the student to assume a five-year term of office as president of Abacaxi, a fictitious troubled third world country. The challenge is to lead the people of the country to "democracy, bread, and dignity." In assuming this role, the student must make difficult and complex decisions.
