Abstract
SOCIOFILE, a subset of Sociological Abstracts released on CD-ROM disk, contains all citations and abstracts since 1974 from over 1,600 journals in 30 languages. Relatively easy to use, SOCIOFILE follows procedures found in standard DIALOG searches of Sociological Abstracts. Its capabilities include Boolean searching, root word searching, phrase searching, nesting with parentheses, and limit filters (e.g., publication year or language). Once a record is found, the term searched is highlighted in context. It is very easy to send selected records to disk or printer. Online context-sensitive help is available at any time.
