Abstract

This SHOWCASE program is designed to introduce students to alternative measures of modernization and development and to some conceptual and statistical relationships which occur among them. Using the main SHOWCASE program and the two datasets (one for Europe and one for Latin America), users can produce maps, scatterplots, case comparisons, correlations, and regression analyses to explore the approximately 60 variables included in each of the datasets.
