Abstract
This software is designed for use by the layman. There is no indication in the manual of any research on the validity or reliability of the items. Therefore it would be of no use to the clinician. Without some idea of the model on which the personality outlines are based, the program is also of little use in the classroom. Whether even the layman could make use of it is uncertain. Many psychologists have suggested that such computer-generated results should be provided only to trained professionals, because computer printouts are often shallow in analysis and grossly distort the meaning of test results.
