Abstract
This is a collection of 27 papers on computer-based learning written from 1980 to 1984 by a pioneer in computer-assisted instruction (CAI) in the natural sciences. Bork's several major themes, which recur in many of the papers, include the coming domination of computers in the delivery of education at all levels and the necessity of a complex system to produce educational software of high quality. His careful discussions of interaction types and screen design are useful for anyone writing or evaluating educational software.
