Abstract
The Information Executive is a well-written, analytical attempt to characterize management in the future as the management of information. Cleveland presents what is considered conventional wisdom; namely, that the American economy now produces information as its principal output. The transformation from the hard output of durable goods to a society of information processing will change the nature of management.
