Abstract
Summary: Brod describes technostress as a disease resultmg from our inability to adapt to the new computer technology. It is manifested either in overidentification with computers or computer anxiety. Technostress affects individuals' orientation to time, communication modes, and interpersonal relationships. Brod's analysis is severely limited by a lack of evidence, poor presentation of data, and little integration of other research on the topic.
