Abstract
Summary: NEWSWORKS is an educational software package designed to demonstrate the usefulness of computerized database management for social studies. While perhaps quite useful in a high school computer lab, it has only limited potential for a college classroom. It requires that the user possess and be familiar with APPLEWORKS, but given that, it provides an excellent method for demonstrating the hows and whys of database management. The price makes it quite worth consideration by those who are in the market for this type of product.
