Abstract
This volume, which was published four years ago, includes two general essays about the roots and consequences of the microcomputer revolution. Five articles provide examples of the use of microcomputers in social science: database management of bibliographic materials, anthropological fieldwork, urban planning, social-psychophysiological laboratories, and social-system simulations. The general essays are, as promised, of interest to all. The other articles are competent but highly specific and subject to becoming dated.
