Abstract

This is a collection of presentations from the ITT Key Issues Series which took place from November 1983 to April 1984. The individual chapters are insightful, but each has a limited focus. The book would be strengthened by an introduction that integrates the arguments into a theoretical framework. More critical reflection about the assumptions and consequences of the development of the computer culture would enhance the discussions.
