Abstract
Summary: This book is ideal for new users and those who feel unsure around computers. It explains in a nonpatronizing manner what most computer users will need to know about MS-DOS/PC-DOS, including a short but valuable chapter on "Handling Emergencies," which, more than anything else, will increase the new user's confidence level. The book is somewhat disappointing in that, in the MS-DOS command chapter, some of the more sophisticated utilities such as DEBUG are given short shrift. Regardless of expertise level, however, this handbook will be a welcome addition to the literature on computer operating systems.
