Abstract
Maplt provides a relatively inexpensive way to produce maps of varying size, scale, and pattern. If you have X-Y coordinates available, representation of areas of almost any shape can be created and saved. Then data can be added, a scale devised, the information represented with almost any set of symbols, and the map labeled and titled. I think Maplt offers much for the money. There are other somewhat more sophisticated mapping software, but they cost much more than $95.
