Abstract
SIGSTAT is a microcomputer version of the statistical package BMD. As such, it has both the strengths and weaknesses of that early computer software. It provides a most powerful set of routines for the statistical professional. However, for the new or infrequent user, its lack of user-friendliness may prove to be a serious shortcoming. Mainframe BMD has been replaced by BMDP, which is also available for the IBM PC XT.
