Since the entire issue of MCQ centers on conflict style instruments, this section departs from the format traditionally employed. Instead, it compares and contrasts the different theoretical frames of each instrument, the role of communication in each, and the internal reliabilities and validities of the five scales. It concludes by synthesizing the strengths and weaknesses of each scale and by highlighting the appropriate uses of the them in organizational communication research and training.
