The basic equations are given for the analysis of a fiber composite cylinder wrapped over a ductile liner. The stiffness of the laminated cylinder is based on classical lamination theory along with thin-shell assumptions, in the linear range. After yielding of the liner, an incremental tangent matrix is employed, based on classical plasticity theory. Comparisons of the stiffness and residual strain predictions with experiments are given and show good agreement.
