Abstract
Schools are constantly having to deal with new initiatives from above and respond to challenging situations which arise daily. Under such circumstances it takes determination and commitment on the part of managers and teachers to ensure that Equal Opportunities initiatives remain on course. A regular review of the needs of particular groups within a school is a useful approach. This second article on contemporary issues from Peter Fleming considers the needs of Asian girls.
