This reflection is based on real-life practices in the ‘world’ of middle leadership. It is vital for education officials in general and schools in particular to understand that a flexible approach needs to be adopted by not imposing rigid guidelines on middle leaders but also allowing them to be more creative to make their role successful. Middle leaders are best suited to know their teachers’ needs and the effective methods of leading them. Similarly, middle leaders need to be flexible with teachers and consider the human aspect when leading to achieve the best outcomes.
