Abstract
This digest gives brief details of documents produced by local education authorities. It has been compiled by Jo Richards and Richard Downing of Education Management Information Exchange (EMIE), an information service for LEAs provided by the National Foundation for Educational Research. The summaries below are taken from EMIE's publication, Improving School Attendance, prepared for LEA officers and advisers, and other local authority practitioners working with the education service. Copies of the documents are available to all readers of Management in Education from either EMIE or the LEA concerned, as indicated at the end of each summary. The documents obtainable from EMIE are offered free to staff in local authority education departments and other central council departments, and at the price quoted to other readers. All prices include postage and packing.
