Abstract

International Lactation Consultant Association® (ILCA®) is pleased to announce the appointment of nine new Fellows of International Lactation Consultant Association (FILCA). The FILCA designation recognizes significant voluntary commitment to ILCA and the professional excellence and achievements of leaders and mentors in the field of lactation consultancy.
The Fellow of ILCA designation is a highly competitive and prestigious initiative designed to recognize and support IBCLCs® who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and a strong commitment to advancing skilled lactation support and care.

As Fellows of ILCA, these individuals have met the following criteria required for consideration: A member of ILCA in good standing for 10 or more years, certified as an IBCLC® for 10 or more years, volunteer commitments to national or international organizations, and significant contributions to the field of lactation consulting through published research in a peer-reviewed journal, lactation-related publication, lactation-related development aid, or participation in legislative committees.
