Abstract
There has been mounting consternation among public health professionals that public health policy has become politicized. Many have concerns that federal health policies have all but abandoned a consensus building approach to proffering science-based recommendations. This editorial examines the similarities and differences between two major federal agency reports, the “Make America Healthy Again” report and the “Healthy People 2030” report. The former report was issued in 2025 under the current administration, and the latter was largely developed during the prior administration. I compared the reports with the intention of highlighting the health promotion strategies and objectives where there is strong agreement between the reports.
