This article poses questions of relevance concerning preparing professionals for the future. The need to find ways to maximize the “pieces of knowledge” brought by the multicultural and multinational members of the International Textile and Apparel Association, the need for transformation in how we think and are taught, and the need for futures studies in curricular offerings in order to prepare professionals are also stressed.
