Abstract
A trend in fashion scholarship in the 20th century was the creation of a piece of work merging elements of the fashion or history of different cultures while conveying the original meaning and content. Global trade and the transfer of cultural symbols may not be a new phenomenon in human history, but the speed of cultural interchanges and the degree of cultural interaction have accelerated during the last few decades. This modern dress, which is influenced by the Korean traditional patchwork known as jogakbo, or wrapping clothes, shows the fusion of East and West as well as past and present.
