Abstract
As an introduction to this focused issue of the Clothing and Textiles Research Journal, the editors suggest that the issue represents new approaches to the scholarly dissemination of thought in the discipline of textiles and apparel. Diversity in terms of subject matter, cultural approaches to education, cross-cultural collaboration, and comparative investigation are represented. The articles are ordered into three groupings: markets and marketing, cultural differences and similarities, and education. The editors highlight the important contributions of each to the scholarship of the discipline.
