Abstract
In 2009, Deutsche Post DHL introduced a global equity-based reward scheme. Following the design of the new scheme, a project team was set up with the task of selecting an appropriate service provider prior to implementing the global rollout of a new administration system. The key objectives of the sourcing project were to find the right share plan provider and solution at a reasonable cost. Topics that are covered in this article include the setup and organization of the sourcing project, description of the methods and tools used, screening and evaluation of relevant service providers, including respective solutions and competencies. Furthermore, the generated fee schedule and pricing negotiations are illustrated and lessons learned are detailed.
