Abstract
The massive layoffs reported by American companies are intended to reduce operating costs, but for every action there is a reaction. In this case, it is the cost and administrative burden these companies often face when they find themselves administering hundreds or thousands of small retirement accounts held by the ex workers. Many companies are turning to automatic IRA rollover experts to relieve themselves of the cost of maintaining these small accounts and reunite these ex employees with their retirement funds.
