This study describes a multidisciplinary team ap proach to prosthetic management for inpatients. A Communication Management System summary sheet was developed to list all prosthetic devices owned and basic information concerning any existing communi cation problems. The summary sheet is to be posted in a wooden frame above the patients bed. A member of the nursing staff would be responsible for complet ing the pertinent data.
