Abstract
A major international conference, entitled “Helping Children Cope with. Death,” brought together many of the leading experts on children and death to address issues about children's concepts of death, death education, and dying children. Highlighted were many of the innovative and exciting developments taking place in these areas, including paediatric hospices, school programs, and art therapy. The conference served to emphasize the responsibility parents and professionals have for working openly and effectively with dying and grieving children.
