Abstract
It is my responsibility, as editor of the Journal of Palliative Care, to ensure that the readership is kept up to date on important events and advances in the field. The publication of abstracts on appropriate occasions serves this purpose.
The 19th International Congress on Palliative Care merits serious attention in this Canadian-based international journal. I am happy to publish selected abstracts of research fora, workshops and proffered papers, and posters that will be presented to this interdisciplinary gathering of palliative care experts from around the world.
Since the Journal is dedicated to promoting quality articles and methodologically rigorous research in palliative care, I look forward to the publication in the near future of a number of the papers announced in these abstracts.
