Abstract
Some of the most serious problems with augmentation mammoplasty relate to the treatment of implant infection and implant exposure. This case report is presented to offer positive resolution of two cases involving the successful treatment of grossly exposed breast implants, one of which also involved chronic, advanced periprosthetic infection. The principle presented is offered to provide an alternative to traditional treatment of these problems that may allow for implant replacement, within a shorter period and with more reproducible results, free of complications.
