Abstract
Hair transplant sessions of up to 1500 single to triple hair grafts using the CO2 SilkTouch Laser, and the Calvitron Hair Transplant System offer the patient sessions of reasonable length, minimal bleeding, and a natural looking hairline. This article describes a surgical technique that combines the benefits of the most up-to-date laser technology with a transplant session of moderate length. The surgical procedures and tools utilized are described in the article, including preparation of the donor strips, preparation of the recipient holes, and the size of grafts. The 1500-graft session is shown to be a satisfactory compromise between the conventional transplant session, which requires many sessions with only limited results per session, and the 2000- to 3000-graft transplant session which is extremely tiring for the patient who has to spend many hours all in one sitting in surgery.
