In liposuction several factors contribute significantly to a good result. Besides the selection of good candidates for the surgery, the author has found that strict organization, tumescent tightening, and keeping the skin on significant stretch are crucial to achieving an extremely good result. The author therefore presents a methodical block technique that utilizes these concepts for accomplishing more uniform fat removal and better results, even for patients with poor skin quality.
