The author has done extensive research into the problems associated with nasal packing and internal splinting following septorhinoplasty. In an effort to come up with a better splint, multiple media were tried and in different formats. The finished product has met all of the criteria for an acceptable nasal splint and has been tried successfully in over five hundred cases.
