Abstract
Introduction:
This article describes a combination technique to restore normal anatomy, appearance, and function to the mons pubis and scrotal skin following massive weight loss.
Materials and Methods:
A 51-year-old man with excessive suprapubic/mons and scrotal skin redundancy was treated with a combination surgical technique of a modified Avelar abdominoplasty and scrotal skin resection. The details of the procedure are presented.
Results:
Postoperative follow-up showed a satisfactory result, with cessation of recurrent intertriginous infections and restoration of urinary and sexual function.
Discussion:
The combination technique presented is a straightforward procedure that can be used for the correction of scrotal skin redundancy. The relevant anatomy must be understood to preserve function and avoid complications.
